IGNITION COIL
CONTINUITY TEST
Remove the seat and fuel tank.
Disconnect the ignition coil primary wire
coupler and measure the resistance between
the ignition coil primary wire terminals.
Resistance: 0.20.3
Remove the spark plug cap and measure the
secondary coil resistance between the spark
plug wire and the primary coil terminal.
Resistance: 7.68.6K
This test is for reference only. Accurate
test should be performed with a CDI
tester.
Measure the spark plug cap resistance.
Remove the spark plug cap and measure the
spark plug resistance.
Resistance: 4.45.5K
Measure the resistance in the X100
range of the electric tester.
