 TROUBLESHOOTING

 Faulty clutch operation can usually be corrected by adjusting the clutch.
 Clutch slips when accelerating
  Faulty clutch lifter mechanism
  Discs worn
  Weak spring
  Incorrect clutch adjustment

 Clutch will not disengage
  Faulty clutch lifter
  Incorrect clutch adjustment
  Plates warped

 ATC creeps with engine idling
  Faulty centrifugal clutch

 Clutch operation feels rough
  Rough manual clutch outer slots
  Worn or damaged centrifugal clutch shoes or drum

 Gearshift pedal will not return
  Weak or broken gearshift spindle return spring
  Binding gearshift spindle

 Hard to shift
  Gearshift spindle damaged
  Stopper plate and pin damaged
  Stopper plate bolt loosened
  Clutch adjustment incorrect
 Transmission jumps out of gear
  Stopper arm damaged
  Stopper plate damaged
  Stopper plate bolt loosen
