          5. ENGINE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION                                                K-PIPE 50

                                                 Carburetor         Bolt
 ENGINE REMOVAL
 Remove the right and left decorative covers
 under the seat.
 Remove the carburetor (page 4-5).




                                                      Screw


                                                      Exhaust Muffler
 Remove the two exhaust muffler joint lock
 nuts.
 Remove the exhaust muffler hanger lock bolt
 and exhaust muffler.
  Drain the engine oil before engine
    removal.
    The exhaust muffler temperature is
    extremely high. Remove it when the
    engine is cold.

                                                 Screw                              Bolt
                                                      A.C. Generator Wire

 Remove the spark plug cap.
 Disconnect the A.C. generator wire
 connector.




                                                                   Spark Plug Cap



 Loosen the rear axle nut and adjust the drive
 chain slack (page 2-7).
