Bolts
INSTALLATION
Install the front shock absorbers onto the
steering stem.
Tighten the lower mount bolts.
Install the front fender.
Install the front wheel.
STEERING STEM
REMOVAL
Remove the steering handlebar.
Disconnect the speedometer cable and front Lock Nut Socket Wrench
brake fluid pipe and remove the front brake
caliper.
Remove the front wheel.
Hold the steering stem top cone race and
remove the steering stem lock nut.
Special
Lock nut socket wrench
Remove the top cone race and remove the
steering stem. Lock Nut Wrench
Be careful not to lose the steel balls (26 Top Cone Race
on top race and 19 on bottom race).
Inspect the ball races, cone races and steel
balls for wear or damage.
Replace if necessary.
